Work Experience
During the summers of 2015 and 2016 I held an internship position at the metal fabrication plant PrecisionMHE. This plant specializes in the production of customized car part racks for many auto companies such as Ford and Tesla. While here I did a variety of assignments throughout the entire office. I aided in human resources and payroll, estimating, logistics, accounting, and project management. While here I also created a calculator to aid in metal purchase to decrease waste and helped with ensuring the proper disposal of metal and chemical materials. This internship allowed me to utilize a wide range of skillsets and acquire new ones as well as introduced me to the inter-workings of the industrial plant business.
I began work with Palmetto Harmony in August of 2018. Palmetto Harmony is a cannabidiol extraction company that produces medical grade CBD products in a variety of forms such as supplements, topical and vaporizers. While at Palmetto Harmony I collected data on their current proprietary extraction process to determine efficiency and energy use as well as designed an industrial scale design to increase their current batch production amounts. I also helped to set up and design a new extraction method using n-butane and performed similar data analysis. While working for this company my love for CBD products and their extraction methods have grown as well as my knowledge for bioprocessing design work and general data analysis.
